BAG POLICY
Please note that we have a clear bag policy. We will allow clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”. Small clutch bags do not need to be clear but cannot be larger than 6”x 9”.
- All bags are subject to search upon entry.
- Clear bags are available for purchase outside the venue on show days.
- Oversized bags may not be places into a clear bag.
- Illegal or prohibited items may be confiscated or must be returned to your vehicle.
GETTING HERE
5th Street Entrance: on 5th Street between Byrd Street and Tredegar Street
Brown's Island Way Entrance: on Brown's Island Way between 2nd Street and Tredegar Street.
Accessible Pickup/Dropoff: Located at 500 Spring Street. Follow the signage to catch the shuttle to the amphitheater. A team member will be there to assist you. This location will be running 1 hour prior to posted door times and will remain staffed until 1 hour following the end of the show.
PARKING
Prepaid parking is available for purchase in advance at allianzamphitheater.com/upgrades. Allianz Amphitheater show day operated lots include the Spring Street Lot (500 Spring St) and the Canal Street Lot (500 E Canal Street - across from the Delta Hotel). The Spring Street lot includes accessible parking, and shuttle pick-up and drop-off are located directly outside the lot. All parking lots open at 5:00pm unless otherwise indicated at purchase.
Use the map below to find nearby lots and garages. These options are not owned, operated, or endorsed by us, but are provided as a helpful guide to make your visit easier. Keep in mind: Richmond offers free parking in many areas Downtown on nights and weekends.
Rideshare drop-off and pickup point is at 2nd Street and Brown's Island Way at the Virginia War Memorial bus loop. All drivers must enter and exit Southbound on 2nd Street. Riders should wait to be crossed at 2nd Street by a police officer. The nearest venue entry point is the Brown's Island Way entrance. This rideshare drop-off is open and monitored one-hour prior to posted doors times and 30 minutes following the end of the show.
Bike Racks: Permanent bike racks are available on Tredegar Street in front of the Tredegar Campus and in Kanawha Plaza with easy access to the 5th Street entrance.
The following road closures will be in place beginning 1 hour before doors and will be closed to vehicular traffic:
S 5th St. between Bragg St. and Tredegar St.
Tredegar St. From the 7th St. Roundabout to Browns Island Way
Browns Island Way between S 2nd St. and Tredegar St.
PERMITTED ITEMS
The following items are permitted inside the venue:
- Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” or a small clutch bags no larger than 6”x 9”.
- Small, Personal-sized Blankets / Beach Towels
- Non-professional and cell phone cameras
- factory-sealed water bottle or empty water bottle up to 1 gallon (We do not permit glass water bottles)
To help ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests, bag searches and screenings will be conducted at the gate.
NON-PERMITTED ITEMS
The following items are not permitted inside the venue. This list is not all-inclusive, so if you're unsure whether something is allowed, please email us in advance to confirm.
Personal Items
- Outside chairs, seat cushions, or strollers – lawn chairs are available for rent at the venue!
- Flashlights, glow sticks, or other battery-powered lights not part of a cell phone
- Full-face paint or face masks that conceal identity
- Guitars or other musical instruments
- Glass items
- Binoculars
- Hula hoops
Liquids & Containers
- Any aerosol liquids, including perfume, bug spray, sunscreen, etc. Complimentary sunscreen and bug spray are available at guest services
- Outside food, drinks, alcohol, drugs, or coolers (exception: one factory-sealed water bottle or approved medical items)
- CamelBak-style water bags
Note: Complimentary water is available inside at the Hydration Station.
Electronics & Media
- Professional cameras and detachable lenses
- GoPros, selfie sticks, or tablets
Signs & Decorations
- Posters, signs, balloons, flags, inflatables, frisbees, streamers, or confetti
Weapons & Hazardous Items
- Firearms, fireworks, noisemakers, or weapons of any kind
- Pocket knives, bladed instruments, wallet chains, mace, pepper spray
Behavior & Apparel
- Moshing and crowd surfing
- Shoes, shirts, and bottoms are required for entry and must remain on at all times
- Uncovered swimsuits
- We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone wearing clothing that is racially insensitive, vulgar, or otherwise offensive and creates an unsafe environment
Umbrellas: Small, personal umbrellas are allowed if rain is expected. They must remain closed unless it is actively raining. Umbrellas used for shade are not permitted. Golf umbrellas are not permitted.
COME RAIN OR SHINE
The show will go on rain or shine! Unless it’s looking extra gnarly - typically lightning or extremely high winds. If there are any changes to your show due to weather, you'll find that information on our social pages on show day.
CARD/CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS ONLY
We’re a cash-free venue. We accept card and mobile pay.
FOOD & DRINK
Outside food & beverages are not allowed except for one (1) sealed water bottle. There is a variety of food and beverage options available at the venue.
